Youth Ministry

Our desire is to help our young people to build their lives upon the unchanging truths of God’s Word and to encourage them to have a real relationship with Jesus. We want them to build quality friendships with other young people that will help them stay strong in their faith and win their friends for Jesus.

TARGET – for young teens in school years 7 – 9
QUEST – for older teens in school years 10 – 13

TARGET AND QUEST ON FRIDAY EVENINGS
A mixture of games, activities and Bible teaching. The aim of Friday evenings is for Christian young people to bring their friends to hear the Christian message clearly and creatively explained.

TARGET AND QUEST ON SATURDAYS
On three Saturdays each term we have social events. This can range from going to watch a 20-20 cricket match at Old Trafford, to Pizza and film nights at the home of one of the leaders. The aim is to create a friendly and safe environment for the young people to enjoy themselves and to get to know the leaders better.

TARGET ON SUNDAYS
The aim of the Target group is to lay a biblical foundation that will last a lifetime. The young people are shown that God has a clear plan for His world and that He is in absolute control.
The key aim of a Sunday morning is to create a safe environment for the young people to be trained as disciples of Christ so that they can live strong Christian lives, winning their friends for Christ.

TARGET SQUASH AND QUEST SQUEEZE ON SUNDAY EVENINGS
Our young people are encouraged to come along to church on a Sunday evening where they can join in the praise of God with the wider church family. After the service they then go back to the home of one of the leaders for a time of fun, singing, answering questions, or to meet someone in the church that the young people may not usually have the opportunity to meet.

QUEST SMALL GROUPS
Our young people also meet weekly in Small Groups. The aim of these Small Groups is the same as for Target on a Sunday. Our young people are discipled so that they are firmly established in their faith and equipped to make a stand for the gospel in their culture and win their friends for Christ.

Weekends away and Summer camps are organised for each of the age-groups mentioned above. Details will be provided at the appropriate times.
