Welcome to South Liverpool Foodbank

South Liverpool Foodbank is part of the National Foodbank Network established by the Trussell Trust.

Our aim is to give out emergency packs of nutritionally balanced food to people in South Liverpool who have been identified as experiencing a crisis situation. The Foodbank Partner or Referral Agent will issue a Foodbank Voucher which can be exchanged for a 3 day emergency supply of food at our Foodbank Centre.

People from all sorts of backgrounds may find themselves unable to feed their families.

In the current economic climate any one of us could experience unexpected unemployment, redundancy or bankruptcy. At any time families or individuals could be thrown into emotional and financial crisis due to bereavement, sudden illness or a marriage/relationship breakdown. Situations can also arise such as delayed benefit or an unexpected bill. When there is no financial safety net these situations can quickly deteriorate and this is where our Foodbank aims to help.

South Liverpool Foodbank will be up and running from 5 October 2009. Foodbank Vouchers will be issued from this date. The Agents will give details of where they may be exchanged for a 3 day emergency food pack.
